Retreat

Retreat was great. All year 11 were able to reflect upon themselves, understand one another more and create a bigger bond towards each other.

Day 1: We arrived.. and went to our cabins. Shockingly, our cabin is the furthest cabin UP. Yes that's right. It means stairs after stairs.. not to mention we had to carry our luggage up. There's was a shorter path (but still with heaps or stairs) Unfortunately non of the cabin buddies knew so we went the longer way which had us doubled over grasping for oxygen XD We did group activities which are ice-breakers. It's pretty lame but I like the balloon part, where we had to blow up a balloon, and hold it between out legs and run up and back. That was hilarious :) Hmm... I think we had lunch, then afternoon tea, then dinner and supper. It was pretty obvious that not one year 11 student would sleep early, and teachers knew that. In my cabin, we stayed til 1am o.O' playing cards with HILARIOUS and strange punishment :O During the night? It was freezing! The beds have no blankets at all.. luckily I brought a small blanket and sleeping bag :) Oh and the plan for PJ Dinner was busted lol. We had to dress appropriately lol

Day 2: We had mass, reconciliation and more activities. I like this day the most. It was the day where we were able to reflect on who we are, St Mary Mackillop and many other things :) It was very enjoyable, and during mass I volunteered for choir lol. I suck so bad at singing, but it was soo fun anyway ;) Food? Well we had breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper! WOW it was fufilling, and the most yummiest food was buttered chicken and something.. it was an indian curry-ish food. So delicious.. chicken was perfect cooked..tender...soft..juicy... well YEA anywho..  back we watched a movie together as a year group, where we came in PJ's and sleeping bags. I forgot what the movie was called (I know... shame) but it was VERY good! After that.. back to cabins.. ughh more steps but I was getting used to it, since I had 5 morning runs around the place.. up and down numerous stairs :) Back in the cabin.. we showered etc and were SUPPOSE to sleep for 1 HOUR... BUT... everyone fell asleep til morning LOL

Day 3: Reflection day. The most important part of this day, was writing a letter addressed to ourself. This will be sent to our house after the HSC, where we will be able to know if we achieved something, or learnt more things in the coming year.

There's many other things I left out, otherwise this post would be sooo full.. :) Other fun things I did with friends is piggy back race, human pyramid, soccer and avoiding hundred of possum poop =/

I don't have any pictures here, except during our last afternoon tea, which isn't much. Lovely friends got all the other pics :)
